Dr. Mark Franklin with the Lord

10/19/2013

Dr. Mark Franklin, a long-time leader within the Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches and Pastor of Hardingville Bible Church, peacefully entered into the presence of the Savior he loved on the morning of October 7, 2013 after an extended bout with cancer.

Pastor Franklin served as the Pastor of Hardingville Bible Church for over 30 years and was very active in the FFBC during that time, serving as the President of the FFBC for seven years and spending many more years serving on the Executive Committee of the FFBC.  Pastor Franklin was a gifted administrator, a powerful preacher, and a loving mentor to many of the men in the FFBC.

The funeral for Pastor Franklin was held on Saturday, October 12 at Hardingville Bible Church with Dr. Jack Keep officiating.  Pastor Ron Whitehead, President of the FFBC and a former intern under Pastor Franklin at Hardingville Bible Church, was among those who spoke during the funeral.

A scholarship program for young men who sense God's call into the full-time pastorate is being established in Pastor Franklin's honor.

Pastor Franklin's obituary is available online at the Hardingville Bible Church website -

Please continue to keep Mrs. Franklin, the children, the rest of the family and the church in your prayers.

Youth Rally Report

10/5/2013

Over 60 young people from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland descended onto the Fun Plex in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey for the 2013 FFBC Youth Rally.  Young people and their sponsors had a great time of fellowship together as they raced go-carts, bowled, drove bumper cars, played lazer tag and other activities.  After spending a couple of hours at the Fun Plex, the group then loaded up and went to Community Bible Church in Barrington, New Jersey.

At Community Bible Church, the group enjoyed a delicious cook-out prepared by the folks at CBC, followed by a message from Frank Sansone encouraging the young people to go on towards spiritual maturity (from Hebrews 5 and 6).

We appreciate the hard work that the folks at Community Bible Church put into hosting this year's FFBC Youth Rally.  A special thanks goes to Mr. Ray Klein for his work in organizing the Youth Rally as well as to all the sponsors who helped to bring the teens to this activity.
